Q: How to convert DRM protected WMA files to WAV/FLAC/OGG/MP3 etc. files?
A: Some files format like DRM protected WMA(or ASF, WMV) could not be converted directly with FairStars Audio Converter Pro. On this case, you can play your WMA files and save the sound into WAV/APE/OGG/MP3 with our FairStars Recorder or other recorder software.

Q: Why my .m4b files cannot be converted?
A: Some m4b files and all m4p files are protected with DRM(Digital rights management). The owner of the music (Apple/iTunes) does not allow you to copy or convert the music you purchase from them. On this case, you may:
Method 1: Play it by using your iTunes, and record it to MP3/WMA/WAV/APE/FLAC/AAC format file by using FairStars Recorder.
Method 2: Burn an Audio CD in iTunes from the M4B or M4P files. Then use our freeware - FairStars CD Ripper to convert the music to the format you wanted.
Method 3: See http://hymn-project.org

Q: Why my .voc file cannot be converted?
A: Some .voc file is not the general VOC file - Creative VOC file, in fact, it is RCA Voice file. RCA Voice file is the private format of RCA. Now it cannot be supported by our converter.

Q: Could you explain the otion "Use high speed mode when resampling needed"?
A: When would the converter do resampling operation? If the conversion is from one sample rate to another different sample rate, the converter would resample the audio sample, in other words, the conversion would include the resampling process.

If the conversion dosn't include the sampling process, this option doesn't affect the resulting files whether the box is checked or not.

If you check this option, the resampling would work in high speed mode. This mode is fast, and generally most pepople cannot hear the diference between the high speed mode result file and the high qulity mode file.

If you uncheck this option, the resampling would work in high quality mode. This mode is slow, but it would give better audio quality results.

Q: Why I cannot convert RealMedia files(RM, RA, RAM, RMJ, RMVB) to other audio fomrat files in FairStars Audio Converter Pro?
A: If you want to convert RealMedia Files(RM, RA, RAM, RMJ, RMVB) to other audio format files, you need install RealPlayer(RealOne) or Real Alternative on your machine. Also please make sure that your RealMedia files could be played by your RealPlayer(for RealPlayer installed), or other Player(for Real Alternative installed).
